Jaleshwor, May 25 : With the spread of second wave of COVID-19, Mahottari district has badly suffered with 59 deaths so far.
The Health Office, Mahottari, has said that the situation has become very severe in the district with the surge in coronavirus infection.
COVID-19 Resource Person of the Office, Prativa Singh, shared that 59 persons died of the virus in the district while a total of 1,897 have been infected so far.
Altogether 35 persons have been receiving treatment in different hospitals while others are in home isolation.
Meanwhile, Bhangaha Municipality-4 in the district has been sealed off from this morning after more than 50 infected cases were reported.
Chief District Office Tirtha Prasad Bhattarai said that the village is completely sealed off as Ramnagar Birtagaun in the municipality reported 50 plus cases of the virus.
