By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Oct. 5: A total of 48 COVID-19 patients who were either receiving treatment at various isolation centers or were staying in home isolation recovered from the infection on Monday.
Naresh Shrestha, COVID-19 focal person of Banke, said that 48 persons including 20 females and 28 males recovered from the infection on Monday.
"As the patients were asymptomatic and didn’t show any health problems while staying in isolation for 14 days, they were discharged as per the standards set by the Ministry of Health and Population. However, they will have to stay in home isolation for seven more days," said Shrestha.
The cases of recoveries in Banke have reached 1,650. The district has recorded 2,050 cases of COVID-19 until now, of which 21 succumbed to the infection.
Currently, there are 380 active cases of COVID-19 in the district and 15 patients of other districts are receiving treatment in Banke.
