By Our Correspondent, Charikot, Apr. 4: One third of the four dozen road projects implemented by the Bagmati provincial government in Dolakha in the current fiscal year have been completed.

Engineer of the Infrastructure Development Office, Sindhupalchowk, Rabin Khati, said that out of the 40 road projects implemented through the provincial government, 10 have been completed, 27 are under construction and the remaining three are in the process of contract.

According to him, the four-kilometre Jiri-Those-Shivachalaya-Solu road has been blacktopped at an investment of Rs. 130 million.

Five kilometre of slope and gravel has been laid on the Charikot-Kalinchok road section with an investment of Rs. 40 million and the Mainapokhari-Jamirehiti-Khaharepokhari-Mirge road has been sloped and graveled at a cost of Rs. 836 million.

Similarly, Suri-Gurumfi-Mulabari-Musting-Mulabari 12.5 km road, Mali-Sailu-Cherdung 3.6 km road, Jiri-Salleri-Thingre 5.0 kilometre road and Dharapani-Falame-Pahirukharka 500 metres road have been upgraded this year, Khati said.

He said that 300 metres of Kirne-Rithebot-Chyama-Jiri road has been upgraded at a cost of Rs. 6 million and three kilometres of Bhedpu-Mildanda road has been upgraded at Rs. 830 million.

Similarly, Mudhe-Melung 10 km road has been upgraded at an investment of Rs. 12.5 million, he said.

Out of the Rs. 939.7 million received from the province government, work is in progress on 27 roads in different places.

The contract process is in progress for three roads, said the engineer.
