Muglin, Oct 9 : At least 38 people were injured when a night passenger bus en route to Sarlahi from Malangawa met with an accident in Chitwan at 12:30 am today.
The District Police Office Chitwan confirmed that the accident involving the bus (Na 5 Kha 5344) took place at Aastha Chowk of Bharatpur metropolis-12. Of the injured, one is said to be serious. The bus hit a Peepal tree on the roadside after the driver lost control over it all of a sudden.
The injured are being treated at the Old Medical College and New Medical College in Bharatpur. Of them, 10 including the driver have suffered minor injuries while remaining 27 are with moderate injuries. Some 45-46 people were onboard the bus at the time, it is said.
