By Nabin Sishir BK, Baglung, Jan. 12: A 37-year-old male of Jaimini Municipality receiving treatment in the isolation ward of Dhaulagiri Hospital, Baglung succumbed to COVID-19 today.
Dr. Shailendra B. Pokharel, Chief of Dhaulagiri Hospital, Baglung confirmed to The Rising Nepal that the patient, who was infected with the novel coronavirus, died under treatment.
He was admitted to the hospital on January 5 after having some difficulties in breathing. "While he was admitted to the hospital, the level of oxygen in his body was very low and both the lungs were infected," said Dr. Pokharel adding that they couldn’t save his life despite using other alternative medicines like Remdesivir.
With this, the number of COVID-19 fatalities in Baglung has reached 11.
