Kawasoti, Sept 14 : Three persons died and 24 others were injured in a bus-truck collision at Nawalpur along the East-West Highway this morning.
A bus (SuPra 2-001) en route to Mahendranagar from Kakadbhitta collided with a truck (Na6Kha 7126) at Gaidakot-10 of Nawalpur.
Deputy Superintendent of Police in Nawalpur, Dilip Kumar Giri, informed that three passengers died on the spot while the bus slid 10 meters down the road after it collided with the truck. The dead ones are two women and a man. Further identity of the dead ones is yet to be ascertained.
There were 26 passengers including bus driver. Three among the injured are in critical condition. Similarly, even the truck driver got injury in the accident.
The injured ones have been taken to New Medical College, Bharatupur for treatment, according to DSP Giri.
