299 women rescued from Kuwait arrive

Kathmandu, June 12: Rescued 299 Nepali women have arrived in Kathmandu from Kuwait on Thursday.
Kuwait government had sent Nepali workers under amnesty programme to Nepal amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Two chartered flights of Jazeera Airways had brought them to Kathmandu – one flight carried 149 passengers and another 150 passengers. The first flight had landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport at 11:00 AM and the second at 1:00 PM.
The returnee migrant Nepali workers are taken to the holding centres in the Kathmandu Valley where their personal details were collected.
Of the rescued, 92 individuals of State 1 and 10 of State 2 were taken to Imperial Banquet and Heritage Party Palace holding centres in Bhaktapur. Likewise, 103 of Bagmati, 26 of Gandaki and 51 of State 5 are taken to Yeti Party Palace, Sky Zone Party Palace and Kundalini Banquet holding centres in Kathmandu.
The remaining 15 from Karnali and two from Sudurpaschim are taken to Mandala Party Palace and Siddartha Party Palace holding centres in Lalitpur.
They will be sent to hotels and government quarantine and home quarantine according to the requirement.
