By TRN Online, Kathmandu, aug. 17: The government has successfully evacuated 127 Nepalis from Afghanistan, which is now under the Taliban's control.
Narendra KC, personal secretary of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, said that they were brought to Kathmandu via efforts made by minister Khand.
The Nepalis were airlifted from Kabul to Kuwait via the US Air Force aircraft. "They were brought to Kathmandu via aircraft of Jazeera Airlines at 10:15 am on Tuesday morning," said Rinji Sherpa, spokesperson at the Tribhuwan International Airport.
The evacuated Nepalis will be placed in isolation and will be sent to their homes only after conducting the COVID-19 test.
