By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 3: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Saturday confirmed 1,177 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.
In 12,978 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,177 persons, 487 females and 690 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.
Of the 1,177 new cases, 1,001 cases including 405 females and 596 males were detected in Kathmandu, 67 cases including 35 females and 32 males were found in Bhaktapur and 109 cases including 47 females and 62 males were recorded in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 2,120 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Saturday, taking the national tally to 84,570 including 62,740 cases of recovery and 528 death cases.
