By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 13: The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is being held today at 1:00 pm at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar.
NCP Chairmen PM KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' will be present in the meeting. Although the Chairmen have distributed their proposals to the committee members, the agenda of today's meeting is the ongoing intra-party feud.
It is said that all the members of the standing committee would be putting forward their views in the meeting. Preparations have been made to submit proposals separately by all 45 standing committee members along with their opinions. "As views and ideas from all members are to be collected, it might be a lengthy meeting," said Astalakshmi Shakya, member of the committee.
Prior to this, the NCP Chairmen had held discussions regarding the ongoing disputes within the party on Wednesday, December 9.
The party leaders are looking forward to reaching a concrete decision post today's meeting.
The last standing committee meeting was held a week ago in absence of the Chairmen.
