Kathmandu, Dec 31 : Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) has organised the third National Space Art Competition on the occasion of National Science Day and World Space Week.
Suyen Bhattarai, eighth grader at Campion School of Lagankhel in Lalitpur, secured first position in the competition.
Similarly, Ashisb Gurung, seventh grader at Gandaki Boarding School of Pokhara in Kaski, and Aman Basnet, seventh grader at The Celebration Co-Ed School of Gothatar, Kathmandu, stood at second and third position respectively.
Likewise, Society chair Suresh Bhattarai told RSS that Sarita Ramtel, eighth grader at Panchakanya Secondary School of Chhauni in Kathmandu, secured consolation position.
The winner students would be awarded on 13th anniversary of the Society in Kathmandu. Society said that it has been organising the competition with an objective of increasing student's interest towards scientific research and investigation from basic level. Students of 107 basic schools across the nation had participated in the competition.
