By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, May 8: Nepali short film “Junuko Jutta” (The Shoes of a Little Girl) has won yet another international award.
Directed by Kedar Shrestha, the short film has won the ‘Best Short Film’ at FESTPRO festival held in Russia recently. The same film had also received the ‘Best Live-Action Short film’ in Warm Kids Film Festival held in America in March last year.
Similarly, the film was also screened in the cinema theaters of Korea during the Busan Film Festival held in April last year.
Junuko Jutta will also be competing in the Italy film festival ‘Corti a Ponte’ and the 10th Singapore International Children Film Festival which will be held in May this month.
In addition, this film will also compete in the famous German short film festival ‘Humburg’ in June next month. Junuko Jutta tells the story of a five-year-old girl Hisse Lama, who always gets confused with her shoes and puts on the wrong feet.
Hisse Lama, Yanji Lama Sherpa, Pasang Lhamu Lama and others have done the movie. The movie is produced by Happy Hues Productions in association with Theatre Centre for Children and Theatre Mall.
Bhibhu Poudel is the producer and Sarun Manandhar cinematographer of the film.
