By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 15: The Kathmandu Valley, which used to known as the grain storage of the nation, has been filled with concrete houses and buildings now. The soft black soil of Kathmandu is considered to be fertile to grow crops.
In the post-harvest season, the farmers in the outskirts of the Valley are busy storing paddy in the few open fields on the Valley outskirts. The crops planted in the monsoon season are now being packed in sacks.
