Kathmandu, Jan 15: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that all should work together to control COVID-19, which has spread as a global epidemic.
Speaking on Saturday after receiving the memorandum from the main opposition CPN-UML on the control of COVID-19, Prime Minister Deuba said that the third wave of COVID-19 should be defeated by all. "For the control and prevention of corona, we must all be united without demarking my party and your party," he said.
Prime Minister Deuba also said that the government was taking initiative to take precautions and spread awareness as the third wave of the Omicron virus was highly contagious.
The Prime Minister said that the number of vaccinations against COVID-19 has increased since he took over the government, adding that the government has taken steps to ensure that all eligible citizens are vaccinated with both doses.
A delegation led by CPN-UML leader Shubhash Nemwang has handed over a memorandum to the Prime Minister on covid prevention and treatment.
