Khandbari, Jan 13: An expectant mother was rescued by a helicopter from Lingam of Bhotkhola rural municipality-2, the northern part of Sankhuwasabha district.
A 28-year-old woman was rescued under the President Women Upliftment Programme and the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens has cooperated towards that end. She is Chippayangam Bhote of the same locality.
The woman who arrived the Hatiya Health Post for delivery suffered labour complications and was taken to Kathmandu-based Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital (Prashuti Griha), according to Chief District Officer Nurhari Khatiwada. Bhotkhola rural municipality health joint coordinator
Amrita Tamang said the woman was prescribed for the C-section birth and was referred to the central Capital.
