Makawanpur, June 17: The police have nabbed three persons in possession of over 143 kilogrammes of marijuana from Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City-11 along the East-West Highway.
A team from the district police office, acting on a tip off made the arrest during a security check on a vehicle (Na 1 Kha 9910) where the contraband drug was hidden, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Jayashwor Rimal.
The vehicle was headed to Hetauda from Manahari. The arrested persons have been identified as Sanak Bahadur Tamang, the vehicle driver and his helper Somey Tamang, both of Bahrabise Municipality in Sindhupalchok district and Sabin Tamang of Raksirang Rural Municipality-1 in Makawanpur. Investigations were underway, said Rimal.
