By A Staff Reporter , Kathmandu, Apr. 4 : The works of 33 Nepali artists is being featured at an exhibition at the Saga Gallery in Kobe, Japan.

The exhibition is titled ‘Art is Heart’ and is organised under the ‘Art without Border-5’ series. The exhibition, which started on Friday under the joint project of Mahila Nepal and Sasabune and Hanechujuri for women, will run till April 6.

Artist Astha Prabha Tuladhar, coordinator of the exhibition, said that the presence of Nepali artists in the exhibition provided a platform to spread peace, friendship and compassion in the world and help promote Nepali art internationally.

Works of Nepali artists like Sarita Dangol, Rabita Kisi, Divas Bajracharya, Sushila Singh, Namrata Singh, Sujita Maharjan, Sandhya Silwal, Kuntishree Thapa Magar, Riti Maharjan, Nilesh Shakya, Deep Mala Maharjan, Rukmani Shrestha, Sanjit Maharjan, Niluta Rajbhandari, Mala Shrestha, Roshan Pradhan, Phurba Lama, Shribhakta Prajapati, NB Gurung, Hari Prasad Sharma, Niraj Shrestha, Krishna Bhakta Dangol and others have been exhibited.

Alongside the Nepali artists, fifteen Japanese artists are also participating in the exhibition. The exhibition has featured the arts of Japanese artists Kawanishi Ichiumi, Masui Aya, Pens, Yoshihiro Nozomi, Sato Chieko and others.

The exhibition, which started on Friday under the joint project of Mahila Nepal and Sasabune and Hanechujuri for women, will run till April 6.

Dr. Tuladhar said that the purpose of holding a joint exhibition in Kobe is that the city holds special meaning. It was shaken by the Great Hanshin earthquake in 1995 which resulted to the city’s devastation. Nepal was also struck by an earthquake in 2015 which resulted great damage.

“There is a message behind holding this exhibition in the city of Kobe in the month of April, which means that even in difficult times, one should be patient and work together,” Tuladhar said.
