Dharan, Jan 21: Three people have lost their lives to the infection of coronavirus at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in the last 24 hours.
According to BPKIHS sources, a 62-year-old man of Lahan-19 who was admitted to its hospital on January 20 breathed his last while undergoing treatment on Friday. He was admitted to the BPKIHS on Thursday after complaining of lungs complication. Associate Spokesperson of BPKIHS, Dr Chudamani Pokharel shared the senior citizen had tested positive to coronavirus on Wednesday.
Likewise, a 80-year-old man of Siraha municipality-1 also died in course of treatment at BPKIHS on Friday morning. Having complications in intestine, the old man was diagnosed with coronavirus on January 13, said BPKIHS sources.
Similarly, 1 30-year-old youth of Sripur-3, Mahottari breathed his last at 11.00 pm Thursday while undergoing treatment. The youth was detected with coronavirus infection on January 19, the day he was admitted to the hospital.
Dr Pokharel informed that preparation was underway for cremation of the bodies.
