Kathmandu, Dec.17: Additional 1,457,000 doses of the Johnson& Johnson vaccine provided under the COVAX facility from Germany will arrive in Nepal today.
According to Bade Babu Thapa, Senior Pharmacist at the Department of Health Services (DoHS), 1,457,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine will arrive today. A sum of 719,650 doses vaccine had arrived on Thursday.
Earlier, the German government had provided 1,965,600 doses of Moderna to Nepal.
The United States had provided about 1.6 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine vaccine to Nepal through the Covax facility. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires only one dose, while other vaccine should be given in two doses.
