By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May.6: As many as 11 foreigners stranded in different parts of the country amid the enforced prohibitory order have been rescued and brought to Kathmandu by the Crisis Management and Communication Cell (CMCC) with the coordination of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday.
Issuing a press release NTB said that, of the 11 rescued tourists, five Polish tourists were rescued from Langtang, four Ukrainian from Pokhara and two Americans from Lukla by CMCC.
NTB had established the CMCC in a bid to rescue and coordinate with tourists that are stuck in different parts of the country amid the enforced prohibitory order following the swirl in COVID-19 cases.
The hotlines, emails, and webinars have been set up by the NTB to ensure that no tourists are stranded due to lack of necessary information amid the pandemic and other concerned bodies are also able to provide information when needed.
