Surkhet, June 4: A 19-year old of Panchapuri Municipality who had returned home recently after completion of quarantine period at Janata Secondary School Bidypur died early this morning.
He had returned Nepal from India two weeks ago and was placed in the quarantine.
According to Municipality Mayor Upendra Bahadur Thapa, the youth was sent home after his lab test for COVID-19 was found negative on Wednesday.
He added that a medical team has gone to the site for collecting swabs of the deceased. The last rites of the deceased would be finalized after his swab report.
In-charge of Area Police Office at Babiyachaur, Police Inspector Asaraf Ali Ansari, said the youth who had reached home at around 12:00 pm last night died at 2:00 AM.
He further said the youth was kept at a home quarantine some 400 meters away from his home.
