Lahan, Aug 20 : A woman died when she was brutally thrashed in a scuffle that flared up from an issue of the pathway in Arnama rural municipality-5, Krishnapur of Siraha district.
Sita Devi Raut, 50, of Krishnapur who was seriously wounded in the physical fighting between the locals died while receiving treatment, police confirmed. Raut had sustained deep injuries on her face and internal body parts from baton charge and breathed her last on Wednesday while undergoing treatment in the District Hospital Siraha.
Immediately following the incident, a police team from the District Police Office Siraha arrested Baldev Saha, 47, Kamalesh Raut, 38, Leela Devi Raut, 46, and Sulekha Raut, 22, shared Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Binod Ghimire. Further investigation into the incident is underway, he said.
