By TRN Online, Pyuthan, June 23: A pregnant woman placed in quarantine here at Kesari, Mallarani Rural Municipality-4, has given birth to a child this morning.
An 18-year old Sita Khadka who has been staying at the quarantine set up at Jana Jagriti Secondary School gave birth to a boy child at primary health center in Khalanga.
She was taken to the health center after she felt labor pain while in quarantine.
Paras Shahi, chief of health section of the rural municipality, informed that Khadka had given birth to a baby at the health center at 8 am this morning. Health condition of both the mother and the new born is normal, according to Shahi.
Khadka has tested negative for COVID-19 in the RDT while discussion was underway whether or not to collect her swab for PCR testing.
Khadka has been staying in the quarantine along with her husband since they returned home from India on June 15. (translated from RSS Nepali news)
