Kathmandu, Aug 26 : Two men have died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
A 55-year-old man of Suryabinayak municipality-8 in Bhaktapur died at Dhulikhel hospital, said the COVID-19 prevention and control command post. The deceased was suffering from heart and thyroid problems, said Dr Narendra Kumar Jha, chief of the district health office and member-secretary of the post.
He was admitted to the hospital three days ago and tested for the virus at the hospital. So far, the district has recorded two deaths from the infection.
Likewise, a 45-year-man of Godavari municipality-11 in Kailali district died at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi on Tuesday, said the hospital's information officer Dilip Kumar Shrestha. He was on a ventilator.
He was suffering from lung and liver problems. Nepali Army has been asked to manage the body of the man, said Shrestha.
