By Amar Raj Naharki, Tanahu, Sept. 7: At least two people were killed while five other passengers got injured when a jeep met with an accident here at Khalte, Rising Rural Municipality-1 in the district today morning.
The ill-fated jeep with registration number Ga 1 Ja 7128 was heading to Risin from Damauli.
Arun Paudel, Superintendent of Police (SP) of District Police Office, Tanahu, informed that Raj Kumar Shrestha, 55, of Byas Municipality-5 and Homa Bahadur Shrestha, 32, of Myagde Rural Municipality-7, died in the accident.
Critically injured Raj Kumar died while under treatment at Damaui Hospital while Hom Bahadur passed away on the way to hospital.
Of the five injured, one returned home after treatment while other four are undergoing treatment in Pokhara.
Sant Kumar Shrestha, 49, Madhusudan Shrestha, 52, both of them of Byas Municipality-5, are undergoing treatment in Gandaki Medical College. Sangita Adhikari, 34, and Ram Kumar Shrestha, 51, are getting treatment in Manipal Teaching Hospital, according to SP Paudel.
