Kathmandu, Sept 7 : Prof Dr Dilnath Dangal at the Department of Economics under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the
Tribhuvan University has been running online classes and dialogues on effects on country's economy by global COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr Dangal is doing it at his own expenses. So far since lockdown was imposed over four months ago, he carried out 81 online classes and dialogues on the effects on country's economy by the infection. Noted persons including former Governor Dipendra Bahadur Chhetri, former Vice

Bista Magar, who has engaged in dragon fruit farming, former Energy Minister Janardan Sharma, economic expert Dr Dilli Raj Khanal and Dr Chandra Mani Adhikari took part in dialogue sessions organised by Dr Dangal.
Likewise, other participants were representatives of the local level government, revenue secretary of the government Ram Sharan Pudasaini, former finance secretaries Rameshwor Khanal, Krishna Hari Baskota and Dr Shanta Raj Subedi, former ministers Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani,
Surendra Pandey and Gokarna Bista, educator Dr Shiva Lal Bhusal, joint secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Ram Sharan Sapkota, dean of the faculty of education at TU and president of the professor's association.
Now, a week-long research package programme is running, said Dr Dangal, also central secretary of the Nepal Progressive Professors' Organisation. On the occasion, Chairperson of the University Grants Commission Prof Dr Bhim Prasad Subedi delivered his academic speech.
Participants for the programme are Prof Dr Chaitanya Mishra, Prof Dr Mana Prasad Wagle, Prof Dr Basu Dev Kafle, Prof Dr Mahananda Chalise, Prof Dr Shiva Raj Adhikari and Prof Dr Dhruba Kumar Gautam as resource persons.
