By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 8: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed three COVID-19 related deaths on Saturday, taking the death toll to 73.
Three persons from Parsa, Morang and Kathmandu succumbed to COVID-19 in last one day, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
A 74-year-old male of Chapkaiya, Birgunj Metropolitan City-3, Parsa, succumbed to the virus infection at 1:30 on Friday, August 7 while receiving treatment at COVID-19 temporary hospital, Gandak. He was also suffering from diabetes and asthma.
A 58-year-old male COVID-19 patient of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-9, Morang breathed his last on Friday morning at 9:15 am while receiving treatment in Koshi Hospital. He was also suffering from high blood pressure, fever and pneumonia.
Likewise, a 41-year-old female of Tokha Municipality-6, Kathmandu, who had tested positive for COVID-19, breathed her last on Friday, August 7 at Patan Academy of Health Sciences, Patan.
