By Madhusudan Timalsina, Kavre, June 3: Three persons out of five of a family who suffered critical burn injuries due to cooking gas leakage here at vegetable market of Banepa municipality-7 have died from the burns.
The injured succumbed to the burns while undergoing treatment at the Kritipur Hospital in Kathmandu.
Yogendra Timalsina, Police Inspector at Area police Office, Banepa, informed that Anisha Shah Thakuri, 14, died on Tuesday while Aayusha Shah Thakuri, 16, and Sushil Thakuri, 26, breathed their last this afternoon.
Family members of Ratna Kumar Thakuri, a permanent resident of Temal Rural Municipality-7 who has been living in the vegetable market area, had suffered from burn injuries due to the leakage of the cooking gas.
All of the injured suffered from entire body burns. According to the hospital, treatment of those who died could not be possible as the gas had entered their lung and affected it badly. Remaining two are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
