Makwanpur, Feb 7 : Public transportation on the Tribhuvan Highway has been affected due to snowfall in Simbhanjyang and Aghor of the highway. As a result, the Hetauda-Kathmandu transportation remains affected since early this morning, the Area Police Office in Palung said.
A decision was taken to stop traffic as accidents were likely with the road becoming slippery due to the snowfall, said spokesperson of the District Police Office, Indra Bahadur Rana. Work is being carried out to remove snow from the road and resume traffic after the weather improves.
As a result, hundreds of vehicles from Hetauda to Kathmandu have been stranded along with their passengers in Simbhanjyang and Aghor. Currently there is sun shine in Simbhanjyang, police in Palung said.
