By Our Correspondent, Kavre, Aug. 13: Six additional police officials working at the Federal Police Unit in Bagmati State were found positive for the novel coronavirus on Thursday.
Senior Health Administrator Dr. Narendra Kumar Jha at the District Health Office, Kavre, said the total COVID-19 infected police officials reached 20 with six more confirmation on Thursday afternoon.
The Health Office had collected swab samples of 70 police officials including one from the District Police Office. Among them, 19 police officials working at the Federal Police Unit of Bagmati State were tested positive for the virus and one was of the District Police Office.
Similarly, the Out Post Department (OPD) services at Dhulikhel Hospital have shut down after a staff nurse of the hospital was found positive for the virus. Likewise, a hotel entrepreneur and a woman were also tested positive for COVID-19. The infected hotel owner was operating his business in front of Dhulikhel hospital.
According to the District Health Office, total COVID-19 infected people reached 61 including a death case.
