By Mukunda Gaire, Kathmandu, Sept. 7: Six of the people arrested on charge of beating a traffic policeman amid the scuffle between the police and the chariot pullers in Pulchokw have been found infected with the novel coronavirus.
The scuffle had erupted after a large group of people started pulling the Machindranath chariot amidst prohibitory order on Thursday while the police tried to stop them from doing so to avoid thronging into a crowd.
Santosh Tamang, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Lalitpur Metropolitan Police Range, informed that six people among the arrestees were confirmed for the virus.
