By Madhusudan Timalsina, Kavre, Aug. 18: The novel coronavirus infection has been detected in 10 persons of a single-family in Dhulikhel Municipality.
Seven family members of a 98-year-old COVID-19 patient, who died on Tuesday morning at Dhulikhel Hospital, have tested positive for the virus. The deceased's son and daughter-in-law had already tested COVID-19 positive.
The elderly was admitted to Dhulikhel Hospital on August 10 after testing positive for the virus. On August 15, the virus infection was found in his son and daughter-in-law.
Dr. Narendra Kumar Jha of the Kavre District Health Office said that seven more family members were identified with the virus infection on Tuesday.
According to Dr. Jha, 13 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Kavre on Tuesday itself.
Of the 13 new cases of novel coronavirus infection, six were detected in workers of Dhulikhel Hospital.
Kavre district has recorded 93 cases of COVID-19 and two death cases until now.
