By Arjun Kafle, Syangja, July 21: Five families of the victims of landslides in the district have been provided with relief in cash amounting to Rs. 150 thousand to each family.
Families of the three who were killed and a family of the one who went missing in the landslides on July 14 at Khahare, Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-4 and another family of a person who was killed after landslides buried his house at Galyang Municipality-9 on June 27 were handed over the relief.
Iman Singh Rana, Jiman Singha Thapa and Tika Bahadur Thapa were killed by landslides while Prem Chandra Pande went missing, all of them from Khahare, Kaligandaki-4, after they got buried in landslides on July 14
Yam Bahadur BK of Galyang Municipality-9 was killed when landslide buried his house on June 27.
Hari Bahadur Chuman, Gandaki State Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, provided the relief amount to the families of the victims of the natural disaster on Tuesday.
Of the Rs. 150 thousand relief amount, 100 thousand was provided by the federal government while 50 thousand was provided by the Gandaki provincial government, according to the provincial minister Chuman.
