By Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, Gaur, Aug. 6: The Rautahat District Administration Office has issued prohibitory order against COVID-19 from August 8 to 16 after the cases of community transmission of the virus were recorded.
The meeting of the District Security Committee, chaired by the Chief District Officer, Bashudev Ghimire, decided to impose the prohibitory order in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 by barring human mobility within the district.
Ramnaresh Sah, an official of Rautahat DAO said that people were prohibited to step out of their houses except for delivery of essential services including health service, electricity, drinking water, communication, waste management services and transportation of gas, medicines and food supplies.
CDO Ghimire said that the prohibitory order was issued across the district in line with Section 6 (3) of Infectious Disease (Control) Act, 2020.
