Damauli, Aug 10 : PCR testing has been undertaken in different areas of Tanahun district to identify the status of corona infection at community level.
According to the District Health Office, the testing was carried out in the offices marked with frequent flow of service recipients, garage workshop, banks and financial institutions, office of the security personnel and salons, among others.
Office In-charge Shanker Babu Adhikari informed 81 people had tested negative for virus as per the report received on Sunday.
"We had arranged PCR test of people on sampling basis to spell out the status of coronavirus transmission at community level", he further said. Reports of all the samples came negative on Sunday, Adhikari shared.
As many as 4,000 swab samples were collected for PCR test in the district, informed the District Health Office sources. Among the tested, 184 people had so far tested positive for coronavirus in Tanahun.
