Only 85 COVID-19 patients in isolation in Sudur Paschim State

By Bhawani Aire, Godawari, July 9: The COVID-19 caseload of Sudur Paschim State till the date has reached 3,891. Of the total infected, 993 have already recovered from the virus infection.

The State Ministry of Social Development has said that out of 2,985 active cases of COVID-19 only 85 were receiving treatment in isolation in various health facilities.

In the regular press briefing today, Narendra Karki, Chief of the Health Division under the ministry, said that 55 COVID-19 patients were sent home after recovering from the virus on Wednesday itself.

Until now, 252 COVID-19 patients of Baitadi, 188 of Dadeldhura, 157 of Doti, 145 of Achham, 103 of Kanchanpur and 99 of Kailali have been discharged from isolation after completion of 14-day isolation stay, with a condition to stay in home quarantine for one more week, in line with point 2.3 (a) of directive relating to management of isolation.

Likewise, 34 COVID-19 patients from Bajhang, 13 from Darchula and from Bajura have been discharged.

All of the discharged COVID-19 patients have not shown any symptoms of the virus infection and many were discharged after completely recovering from the infection.

Meanwhile, 85 COVID-19 patients of the Sudur Paschim State are currently receiving treatment in isolation.

According to the ministry, 41 COVID-19 patients of Kailali were admitted to Tikapur Hospital, Kailali, 18 of Kanchanpur at Mahakali Hospital, 10 at Achham Hospital, nine at Seti Hospital, three at Mahalkheti Hospital and two each at Doti and Bajura Hospital.

The Sudur Paschim State has recorded eight COVID-19 deaths and 2,784 infected persons are residing in quarantine centers.
