By Arjun Kafle, Syangja, July 14: As many as six people who went for inspection of the landslide affected areas triggered by incessant rainfall for five days have themselves been buried by the landslide at Khahare, Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-4 in Syangja district.
Of the five people, one died on the spot, three went missing and two were rescued safely. They were hit by a new landslide falliing down from the opposite direction.
The deceased has been identified as Iman Singh, 70, and those who have gone missing are Prem Chandra Pandey, Tika Thapa and Giman Singh.
Ward members Hom Nath Pandey and Bir Bahadur Rana were injured, informed ward chair Chakrapani Pandey.
Meanwhile, the search operation for the missing is underway.
