By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept. 6: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Sunday confirmed nine COVID-19 related deaths.
Nine persons, two females and seven males, succumbed to the virus infection in the last 24 hours, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
Of the females, a 64-year-old of Morang and a 45-year-old of Jhapa succumbed to the virus infection. Likewise, of the seven males, three aged 74, 68 and 85 of Kathmandu, a 45-year-old of Morang, a 77-year-old of Parsa and a 70-year-old of Chitwan, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died while receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation.
With this, the COVID-19 death toll of Nepal has reached 289.
