Kathmandu, June 24 : The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has started at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar.
In the meeting, party chair duo, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' will make their statement, besides other agenda. The standing committee meeting had been postponed twice before this due to the coronavirus pandemic and various other reasons.
NCP central publicity department's deputy chief, Surya Thapa, said among the meeting agenda today include the government's works (COVID-19 prevention and treatment, resolution of the border problem and others), the remaining works related to the party unification, the American Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact and miscellaneous topics.
A dispute has been seen in the party regarding endorsement of the MCC compact.
