Kathmandu, July 10 : The standing committee (SC) meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scheduled for July 10 today after frequent postponements before has been put off again. With the postponement the meeting is re-scheduled to take place on 17 July (Friday).
The SC meeting of the party set for 11.00 this morning has directed the entire party rank and file to engage in relief and rescue operations when the rain-induced floods and landslides are incurring heavy loss of lives and properties in some districts including Sindhupalchowk.
NCP spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed that the meeting set for today has been postponed until July 17 considering the need of engagement in the rescue and relief of people in the natural calamities
