Kathmandu, May 6: A secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) today has designated authority to the chairperson duo to set the party's standing committee and its agenda.
The secretariat meeting earlier had called the standing committee meeting for Thursday after 20 standing committee members sought for the same.
The secretariat meeting was held today to make necessary preparation for the standing committee meeting and its agenda among others.
However, it was not ascertained whether or not the meeting will take place tomorrow or to schedule for some other days citing short of preparation.
NCP spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha told media persons that the two chairs are yet to complete their groundwork regarding the process for framing agenda and proposal in line with the spirit of May 2 secretariat meeting.
On journalist query, he said Prime Minister and CPN chair KP Sharma Oli had emerged out of the meeting informing he could not give full time in the meeting due to his busy schedule and health reasons. Shrestha clarified that nothing otherwise has happened and there was ongoing consultation between two chairs.
