Kathmandu, Jan 10: The seventh session of the National Assembly (NA) that started on January 1 has prorogued today. At today's NA meeting, NA Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina read out a letter in this regard sent by President and announced that the session was prorogued.
In 10 days of the current session, NA held four meetings where seven ordinances were submitted and newly appointed NA member Bamdev Gautam was nominated as a member of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee of the NA. Also, the reports of Tharu and Madhesi Commissions were submitted and annual reports of the Sustainable Development and Legislation Management Committee submitted said NA Chair Timilsina.
At the meeting, PM Oli submitted the annual report of the Tharu Commission for the fiscal year, 2019/20 and the Legislation Management Committee member Debendra Dahal on behalf of the Committee's Chairperson submitted the annual report of the Legislation Committee for the FY 2019/20.
