By Amrit Prasad Poudel, Beni, July 20: As many as 14 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in isolation in Beni have been discharged after recovering from the virus.
With this, the recovery cases of Myagdi district have reached 34 and only six COVID-19 patients are receiving treatment in isolation.
Of the 14 patients discharged today, three are from Beni Municipality, two from Mangala Rural Municipality, three from Raghuganga Municipality and one is from Annapurna Rural Municipality and five are from Malika Rural Municipality.
Ek Narayan Lamsal, chief of Myagdi Public Health Office said, “The 14 COVID-19 patients were discharged after they tested negative for the virus in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done on July 19.”
Lamsal said that only six COVID-19 patients were receiving treatment in isolation.
Currently, as many as 120 people are residing in three quarantine centers set up at three different places in Beni.
Gyannath Dhakal, Myadi’s Chief District Officer, said that all COVID-19 patients had returned from abroad.
