By Amrit Prasad Poudel, Beni, Aug. 8: Myagdi district, which once recorded 47 cases of COVID-19 has become successful in redeeming itself from the pandemic.
With the discharge of six COVID-19 patients on Saturday, the district now holds zero active cases of virus infection.
Six virus patients receiving treatment in isolation in Beni were discharged on Saturday morning.
A 37-year-old male of Mangala Rural Municipality-2, 30-year-old male of Mangala Rural Municipality-5, three males aged 49, 35 and 23 of Annapurna-8 and 34-year old male of Malika Rural Municipality were discharged on Saturday after testing negative for COVID-19, informed Eknarayan Lamsal, Chief of Myagdi Public Health Office. All of them had returned from middle-east countries.
Chief District Officer, Gyannath Dhakal, said that the district had become free from COVID-19 as all the infected people had recovered from the virus.
