By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 31: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed eighth COVID-19 death case.
Dr Bikash Devkota, spokesperson of the ministry, said on Sunday that a 2-year old girl of Bajura district who breathed her last today morning was found to be COVID-19 positive.
She had entered Nepal eight days ago from India with her parents.
"The deceased was hospitalised on May 28 and her swab sample was collected on May 29," said Dr Devkota. "She tested positive for COVID-19 in RT-PCR test done at Seti Provincial Hospital."
With this, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has reached eight and the national COVID-19 tally has reached 1,567 including 220 cases of recovery.
