By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 5: The meeting of High Level Coordination Committee (HLCC) to prevent and control COVID-19 held at Singha Durbar today concluded that lockdown was effective in preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus or SARS-CoV-2 that causes the disease COVID-19.
Narayan Prasad Bidari, secretary of the Office of Council of Ministers said, "In the current scenario, implementation of lockdown has become successful in preventing the spread of COVID-19. This preventive measure should be continued more effectively."
He said that extension or lifting of the ongoing lockdown would be decided in the meeting of Council of Ministers tomorrow.
