Galkot, Aug 17 : The Baglung section of the Mid-hill Pushpalal Highway has been disrupted by rain-triggered landslide since Saturday.
The landslide occurred at Nishikhola in Baglung section of the Highway has brought the vehicular movement to grinding halt. The rain has triggered landslide in more than a dozen of places in Nishikhola Rural Municipality in Baglung district.
According to Mid-hill Pushpalal Highway Office, Parbat's chief Ashish Thapa, the road in Baglung section of the Highway has been damaged in many places due to landslide.
Even the pedestrians could not travel through the road, according to Man Bahadur Karki, a local. Damaged roads have posed a threat to human settlements at places as Devisthan, Khadu, Dhuwakhor and Juggakhola among others, Karki shared.
Due to the rain, blacktopping of the road in the Highway has been hindered too, informed Thapa. Efforts were underway to remove the landslide debris and resume the traffic movement along the road section.
