Kathmandu records 10 new COVID-19 cases

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 24: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 10 new cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu today.

In 3,987 Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done across the nation in the last 24 hours, ten persons tested positive for the virus in Kathmandu, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam in the daily press briefing today.

Their PCR tests were conducted in Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku and TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.

On Thursday, five cases of the virus infection were confirmed by the ministry in Kathmandu and two cases were recorded in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. 

Meanwhile, no new cases of the virus infection were detected in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur today.

The national COVID-19 caseload has reached 18,374 including 12,947 cases of recovery and 44 death cases.
