By Deepak Gyawali, Butwal, May 11: Following the increasing cases of COVID-19, the Kapilvastu District Administration Office (DAO) has decided to seal the district till May 18.
The meeting of District Security Committee decided to seal the district until May 18, informed Dirgha Narayan Poudel, Chief District Officer of Kapilvastu.
According to Poudel, the district would be sealed off from 5 PM today evening.
“We decided to seal the district for a week as the district is in high risk of COVID-19 spread,” said CDO Poudel.
Until now, 15 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Kapilvastu district.
All the patients have been admitted to Butwal-based Corona Special Hospital.
10 persons of Kapilvastu identified with COVID-19 infection today had entered Nepal 12 days ago from India. They were staying in quarantine after entering Nepal.
