Damauli, Aug 6 : The Jhaputar-Chalise road stretching from Rishing rural municiplaity-1, Jhaputar to its ward-6 in Tanahun has been obstructed for the past three weeks.
Landslides triggered by incessant rainfalls since 13 July have blocked the road. Rishing-4 ward chair Bhojraj Ranabhat informed the landslides rolled down boulders and debris in five different points blocking the road traffic.
"Five big landslides occurred on the road beyond Jhaputar", he said, adding, "In some areas, the landslides have removed the structure and skeleton of the road".
According to Ranabhat, landslide debris has been removed from most of the places and the rubbles are yet to be cleared off from one area.
"Though the road was made clear using big machineries from Jhaputar it took long time to resume road traffic due to the need of arrangement of water supply in different places", he added.
He further informed the road up to Chalise would be cleared off within a couple of days by removing landslide debris from Rishing-2, Dandakhundi.
With disruption of road for the past three weeks, the general public are facing trough time to move to and from their villages.
